A Week Long Kullu Dushehra Festival Ended today on Oct.30, 2012

A Week Long world famous Kullu Dushera festival ended here today on Oct. 30, 2012. More than 250 devtas along with thousands of their devotees assembled at Dhalpur ground to participate in the ‘Rath Yatra' of Lord Raghunath Ji. At Kullu Dushehra shrubs and bushes are burnt as a symbol of Lanka Dahan, not effigy of Ravna is burnt here. Cultural Programmes were one of the attractions in Kullu Dushehra Festival. Famous playback singers Kailash Kher also performed stage show at 'Lal Chand Prarthi Kalakendra' Kullu.

ThGS Meeting

ThGS meeting was held in Kurukshetra today on 21.10.2012. As an advisor of the company, I was also invited to this meetng. Sequence of issues were discussed and resolved in this meeting. Website of the company was also updated after getting suggestions from the members.

Kurukshetra University Organised a Programme on Gender Sensitisation and Eve Teasing

Kurukshetra University today (19.10.2012) organised a Programme in colloboration with Kurukshetra Police, on Gender Sensitisation and Eave Teasing. It was held in University auditorium among thousands of students and teachers. Vice Chancellor, KUK presided over the function. SP, Kurukshetra Police Mr. Rakesh Arya was among the invited speakers who talked on prevention of crime against women. One of the police official also delivered a presentation on women protection laws and acts. Prof. Smita Chaudhary & Prof. Richa Tanwar, CASH, KUK, aslo delivered presentation. Students activaly participated and interacted with the concerned officials.

आज से नवरात्रि पर्व की शुरुआत हो चुकी है। नवरात्रि पर्व में दुर्गा माता के नौ अलग-अलग रुपों की विधि-विधान से पूजा-अर्चना की जाती है। विश्वास करते हैं की यह पर्व सभी के लिए सुख-समृधि लेकर आए।

This 9 night's Hindu Festival of Goddess Durga is celebreated twice in a year (Vasant Navratri & Sharad Navratri).
